Sites.ku.dk

Sites.ku.dk is the University of Copenhagen's WordPress platform, which is home to toolboxes, projects and where academics can host their own blog. If you need a site, contact us at blogs@hum.ku.dk

Please notice that this is a DIY-solution. Site owners will need to do all setup themselves (or with the help of local communication people) and make sure to comply with GDPR, Cookie and accessibility regulations. Official projects and collaborations are supported by the UCPH
CMS, which can also handle co-branded project pages (Contact your local communication department to hear more).

Tips & tricks:

EU legislation means you must inform your users, if you are using cookies to track your users on your website. At sites.ku.dk this is only the case, if you have activated a plugin that uses cookies for example a statistics plugin like Google Analytics.
It is not very difficult to comply with the law, just follow these three steps:

  1. Activate the plugin “Cookie Law Info” on your site (found in the menu “plugins”)
  2. Setup the plugin to point to a page of your choice, when they press “Read More” eg. mitsite.sites.ku.dk/privacy
  3. Write an explanation for your users on the page you’ve pointed the plugin to, along the lines of: We use cookies to track statistics about the usage of this site, in order create a better user experience.
Get more information and useful suggestions at this information page about the EU legislation on cookies.
